Will Ruggles & Douglass Ranking - Artist Statement

Our desire in potting is to be part of a seamless relationship between clay, glaze, fire, hand and mind. No single one of these aspects is more important to us than another. We believe that this way of potting allows the potential for pots to convey elusive qualities of spirit, presence, and warmth. Our hope is for pots that enhance life in a quiet and pleasurable way over many years - pots whose stories never fully unfold.
