UT Tyler is highly regarded as a center for training professionals in Art, Music, and Theatre. Our Arts programs are a vital part of the life and culture of the campus, as well as of the City of Tyler and East Texas. Located in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas, our park-like campus is truly one of the most beautiful in the U.S., serving over 5,200 students, and growing fast!

Arts students enjoy many opportunities to learn about teaching, performing, and studio within a dynamic and very personal campus environment. Students participate in musical ensembles, theatrical productions, art exhibits and work with faculty who are dedicated to their art. There are numerous guest artists, exhibitions, and travel/study opportunities. All of our faculty are outstanding professionals in the arts and well recognized in their fields.

Students have many opportunities to perform in the beautiful Braithwaite Recital Hall, the magnificent 2,000-seat Vaughn Auditorium, the new Theatre, concert tours, or theatre tours. Students studying Art, Music, or Theatre at UT Tyler experience the personal touch of small classes and considerable interaction with their professors, a key to providing an exceptional learning environment.
