President's Message
Welcome to The University of Texas at Tyler!
As we mark our 40th anniversary, we are proudly remembering the past, enjoying the present and looking forward to the future of our great university.
There is much to celebrate as we have experienced tremendous growth in our enrollment, academic programs and facilities over the past four decades. The world has taken note of the quality education that comes with a UT Tyler degree. Our institution is tied at 19th in the U.S. News and World Report rankings of Master’s Level I public universities in the West out of 335 universities in our category.
I encourage you to explore this website and get to know UT Tyler as a comprehensive institution comprised of five academic colleges as well as a graduate school offering both master’s and doctoral degrees.
We have vibrant student life that includes something for everyone. The R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center features outstanding cultural opportunities not only for our campus but for the East Texas community also. Our Robert R. Muntz Library houses an incredible selection of resource materials. The NCAA Division III athletics program attracts student-athletes who demonstrate extraordinary performance in the classroom as well as on the field or court. Global experiences abound through our Center for Global Education.
