About this Site

The University of Texas at Tyler introduced the current version of its home page in beta version in December 2011 following an extensive redesign process.  This is the sixth redesign of the UT Tyler home page www.uttyler.edu.

 UT Tyler Web Team housed in Marketing and Communications has led the project with the assistance of Noel Levitz and Omni Update. The new UT Tyler website launched in January 2012.

The UT Tyler Web Team consists of Director of Marketing, Beverley Golden; Webmaster, Robin Kelly, Web Developer, James Mbewe and Web Content Coordinator, Emily Battle.

Content

Content will continue to be updated during phase two of the design in 2012. A schedule of the upcoming design project can be obtained through Marketing and Communications.

Departmental pages are updated and managed through the UT Tyler CMS, OU Campus.

All university departments including departments not residing on the UT Tyler webserver are expected to abide by the highest standards of quality and responsibility by using the UT Tyler Web Publishing Standards when building and publishing their web pages.

The UT Tyler home page at www.uttyler.edu, site index, top-level pages, as well as the graphics are created and/or managed by the UT Tyler Web Team in Marketing and Communications. The office has identified content business owners who manage departmental pages.

Information Technology Services provides hosting  for www.uttyler.edu. IT support and Email campus tech support can be sent to: Students: itsupport@patriots.uttyler.edu, Faculty/Staff: itsupport@uttyler.edu.

Second level directories and pages residing on www2.uttyler.edu are being updated and moved to the new server during the 2012 year.

Web page support can be sent to web@uttyler.edu.

  • 2011/12 – Complete overhaul of Design, Content, Structure. New webserver.
