Vicki Turner Chism, Advancement Research

Vicki Turner Chism is the director of advancement research for The University of Texas at Tyler. In 2008, she established the university's first advancement research office.
Vicki worked as a competitive intelligence analyst for Verizon Information Services, where she compiled and distributed research and analysis for competitor strength and industry trends. She has provided business information and technical IT research for Dell, legal research for the Texas State Law Library as well as immunology research for M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Vicki is a member of APRA, the Association of Prospect Research for Advancement and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She has served locally on the Prevent Blindness Board, the Science Discovery Place Community Advisory Board, vice president of the American Association of University Women and has volunteered through the Tyler Junior League, UT Tyler's Ambassadors, Tyler Komen Race for the Cure, TISD PTA, PATH and Texas Rose Festival.
Vicki holds a master's degree in information science from the University of Texas at Austin iSchool and a bachelor of science in microbiology from Texas A&M.
