The Obligations of Stewardship
We
in the Office of University Advancement are responsible
for all areas of fundraising. We are mindful of
our obligation to be good stewards of all funds
entrusted to the use of The University of Texas
at Tyler. It is our goal to be effective stewards
of all contributions given by you to this university
and we operate upon the following guidelines.

All
gifts are acknowledged in a timely and personal
manner;

Proper recognition is given to all benefactors;
- Benefactor
must approve of public recognition;
- Contributions
accepted with restriction must be used for that
purpose;
- If
a contribution cannot be used for purpose stated,
donor must be notified and acceptable options reached,
or contribution returned;
- Reports
are given to donors of endowments and the value
of any substantial increase or benefit as a result
of original gift will be reported; and
- In
accounting for all gifts, standards and guidelines
set by The U.T. System Board of Regents are strictly
adhered to.
We
