Freshman Advising - Tonya Gaddis

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2008 from Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. After graduating, I moved to Texas and have had the pleasure of working at UT Tyler for several years now and am currently pursuing my Master's degree.
I am excited to be a part of the Academic Success Department and love my job as a freshman advisor! I love encouraging freshmen students to explore their options and achieve their academic goals!
I have a lot of interests and enjoy talking to students about theirs. Some of my favorite hobbies include collecting and listening to records, gardening in my backyard, watching movies, and reading just about everything. An interesting fact about me is that I shoot and develop my own black and white film photos. I am a creative person and enjoy meeting and talking with a variety people, and look forward to meeting you!
