Assessment & Institutional Effectiveness

Welcome to the Office of Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness at The University of Texas at Tyler.

The mission of the Office of Assessment & Institutional Effectiveness (AIE) is to coordinate and support all assessment efforts for academic programs, educational support units and administrative units to facilitate ongoing quality improvement, advance institutional effectiveness and contribute to the campus commitment toward inspiring excellence.

Working under the leadership of the Office of the Provost, AIE facilitates the use of assessment results for strategic and operational planning to facilitate continuous organizational improvement. AIE also works to ensure effective execution of new initiatives to achieve the mission of the University and to assess if we are successful in that attainment.

The staff of the AIE endeavors to provide accurate and current assessment resource information, provide professional development training to faculty and staff, and assist in the process and documentation of program reviews.

The AIE Office works in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Analysis  to provide research based guidance dedicated to improving student learning outcomes and administrative support services.
