Dr. Lawrence L. Anderson and Dr. Sasha J. Vukelja, dedicated supporters of the University of Texas at Tyler, are the recipients of the 2010 Patriot of the Year Award in recognition of their strong commitment to education and their philanthropy distinguished by perceptive and innovative giving. Encouraged and mentored by A. W. "Dub" Riter to pursue educational patronage at UT Tyler, the Andersons have become known for their vision, energy and leadership to higher education.
