Booher Grabs Second Straight ASC Honor

RICHARDSON, Texas – Junior Blake Booher (Hurst, Texas) was named East Division Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week by the American Southwest Conference on Monday afternoon.

In his one appearance on the week, Booher tossed a one-hit complete game shutout against LeTourneau. Booher walked just three batters, while striking out 11.

Booher has not been scored on over the last 18 innings and has struck out 30 batters in his last three starts. Over 50 percent of Booher’s 57 strikeouts on the year have come in his last three appearances. Booher now has an 8-0 record on the season and an ERA of 1.15.

Booher and his teammates will return to action on Tuesday when they host the University of Dallas at 6 p.m., at Irwin Field.
