UT Tyler Baseball Tryout Information

The University of Texas at Tyler baseball program will hold tryouts for currently enrolled students who desire to participate in intercollegiate baseball during the 2007-2008 season.

There will be an organizational meeting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at the UT Tyler Baseball Field for all individuals interested in trying out for the UT Tyler baseball team.

Please Note:

All students who wish to participate in this meeting must be currently enrolled, full-time students at UT Tyler and in good academic standing per NCAA rules. Students must also bring a current proof insurance card.
All students who tryout must have a physical with documentation on the official University form, as well as a signed UT Tyler waiver. Please contact UT Tyler’s athletic trainer at (903) 565-5545 for information on the necessary paperwork. All students who try out must first be cleared for participation by the athletic trainer, and fill out and bring the Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form.

Tryouts will be held on Saturday, Setember 22, 2007 beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Irwin Field at the UT Tyler Ballpark. At the tryouts, all participants must wear baseball pants, and players will be responsible for bringing their own protective gear and equipment. Participants will need to present their student ID card at the tryout registration.

Please note that this tryout is an opportunity to be evaluated by the UT Tyler coaching staff and participation does not guarantee any level of activity in the program for the 2007-08 school year.
