Donnan Earns ASC Weekly Honor

UT Tyler junior Ben Donnan was named the American Southwest Conference Runner of the Week for men’s cross country, the league office announced today.

Donnan (Paris, TX/Paris HS) ran a 26:40 to finish second individually and lead the Patriots to a first-place finish at the 8K UT Tyler Invitational last Saturday.

Donnan is the defending ASC individual champion and a member of last year’s All-ASC first team for men’s cross country.

Saturday’s performance came a week after UT Tyler opened its season at the Baylor Twilight Invitational where Donnan finished in 34th place with a 19:42 time for the 6K.

UT Tyler is off this weekend and returns to action Sept. 22 at the McMurry Meet in Abilene.
