The UT Tyler men's golf team moved up to No. 3 in the nation according to the latest GolfStat.com rankings.
The Patriots are currently awaiting word from the NCAA Division III Golf Committee on whether they will receive at at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
The Patriots are 4-2 in head-to-head competition against top 10 teams in the nation, 66-8 against teams in the region, and 75-9 against all Division III teams.

ANNA, Texas – The University of Texas at Tyler men’s and women’s golf teams finished third in their respective tournaments in the 2008 American Southwest Conference Golf Championships on Tuesday afternoon at the Hurricane Creek Country Club in Anna.
In individual play, freshman Samantha Humphrey (Flower Mound, Texas) won the ASC Women’s Individual Championship by shooting a 75 and 83 for a two-day total of 158. Humphrey beat out her nearest opponent, Surraya Minhas of Schreiner, by four strokes. More>>>

LONGVIEW, Texas – The University of Texas at Tyler men’s golf team shot a three-round total of 914 to handily win the LeTourneau Spring Classic played Monday and Tuesday at Pinecrest County Club.
Clay Holcomb fired a team-low 75 in Tuesday’s final round to pace the Patriots and finish second in the individual standings. Holcomb shot a 222 (72-75-75) for the tournament. Teammate Brian Jennings was just behind with a fifth-place, 228 (77-74-77). More>>>
