Humphrey Top Golfer at LeTourneau Women’s Invitational

LONGVIEW, Texas – Samantha Humphrey knocked four strokes off her first round and come out on top in score card playoff to finish as the top individual in the LeTourneau Spring Invitational.
Overall, the Patriots finished in fourth place in their final tune-up before the American Southwest Conference tournament next week in Anna, Texas.
Humphrey edged Alicia Yoder of UT Dallas by firing an 81 on Tuesday and winning the playoff by paring hole 4.
Courtney Kruppa was in 20th place for the Patriots with a 166 (94-91) and Katie Harris fired a 186 (94-92) to finish 22nd. Amber Grounds in 23rd with a 187 (88-99) and Jordan Woodruff with a 199 (99-10) were the other finishers for the Patriots.
Northwood won the tournament after knocking 30 strokes off their first-round 365 for shoot a 335 on Tuesday and finish with a 700.
