Six Patriots Receive Winter Academic Honors
March 12, 2008

RICHARDSON, Texas – Six University of Texas at Tyler basketball players have received All-Academic honors from the American Southwest Conference.

Seniors Kasey Buggs (Lake Dallas, Texas) and Matt Riccardi (Plano, Texas), junior Alyse Bell (Soldotna, Alaska), and sophomores Erica Aguilar (Plainveiw, Texas), Alyssa Ploof (Plano, Texas), and Becky Taylor (New Caney, Texas) were the six UT Tyler players to receive the honor. More>>>

Bizot, Four Patriots Receive ASC Basketball Honors

RICHARDSON, Texas -- The University of Texas at Tyler men’s basketball dominated Texas-Dallas from start to finish on their way to an 87-47 victory on Monday night in Richardson. The 40 point win was the largest of the season for the Patriots.

The Patriots led by as many 45 in the game and never trailed in the contest. UT Tyler shot an astounding 62 percent from the floor in the second half and 58 percent for the game.
