SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Texas at Tyler men’s soccer team was eliminated from the 2008 NCAA Division III Men’s Championship tournament with a 2-0 loss to No. 1 Trinity on Sunday at Jesse H. Jones Soccer Field.

The University of Texas at Tyler men’s soccer team (11-3-4) captured the 2008 American Southwest Conference tournament championship on Sunday by beating Texas-Dallas (13-6-2), 2-0, at the Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex in Tyler.

The championship is the first-ever postseason title for the men’s soccer program and marks the first time since the 2004 season that the same team has won both the ASC regular season and tournament titles. More>>

Men’s Soccer Claims 3rd Regular Season Title in 4 Years

The University of Texas at Tyler men’s soccer team won a hard-fought match with Ozarks, 1-0, on Saturday at the Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex.

The UT Tyler win, coupled with a Hardin-Simmons loss, allowed the Patriots to claim their third American Southwest Conference regular season title in four years. UT Tyler also earned the right to host the 2008 ASC Championship tournament on Nov. 7-9, as well as a first-round bye. More>>
