UT Tyler’s Kendall Named to All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Kan.---Junior forward Michael Kendall (Houston, Texas) of the University of Texas at Tyler men’s soccer team has been named as an All-South region third team selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Kendall, a three year letter-winner for the Patriots, led his team this year with 11 goals and five assists. He scored on 16.2 percent of his shots with 54.4 percent of his shots going on goal. Kendall, who played in all 19 games on the year, was also a perfect two-for-two in penalty kick situations. His 11 goals helped the Patriots advance to the American Southwest semi-finals in their first year of post-season eligibility. Kendall was named first team All-Conference in early November.

Kendall will be key part of a 2008 Patriot team that lost just three seniors at the end of the 2007 campaign.
