Men’s Soccer Evens Record with Tuesday Win
October 9, 2007

In a rare mid-afternoon game, the UT Tyler men’s soccer team took a 2-0, non-conference win over Spring Hill Tuesday at the Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex.

With the win, UT Tyler is now 6-6 on the season.

Cole Brittain picked up his third goal of the season on an assist from Michael Kendall in the 36th minute to give UT Tyler a 1-0 lead into the half.

At 54:02, Rudy Galvan put the Patriots up 2-0 on an unassisted goal for the final score of the afternoon.

The Patriots had 18 shots, eight of which were on goal, compared to just seven for Spring Hill.

Spring Hill, a member of the NAIA Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, is located in Mobile, Ala.

Freshmen Mark Oliphant and Bailey Williams split the goalkeeping duties for the Patriots, combining for three saves in the shutout effort.

UT Tyler will hit the road for conference games at Schreiner and Texas Lutheran this weekend.
