Men's Soccer Takes 3-1 Win over TLU

The UT Tyler men's soccer team won its fourth straight game Saturday, notching a 3-1 win over Texas Lutheran in Seguin.

The Patriots, who evened their American Southwest Conference record at 5-5, will host East Texas Baptist at 8 p.m. Thursday in Tyler.

Tony Bowles assisted Adam McAlpine at 13:12 for UT Tyler's first goal and the Patriots held the 1-0 lead through the rest of the first half.

Michael Kendall gave UT Tyler a 2-0 lead in the 60th minute on a penalty kick before Texas Lutheran scored its only goal at 61:16 to make the score 2-1 UT Tyler.

Todd Burke gave the Patriots an insurance goal at 87:05 on an assist from Cole Brittain.

UT Tyler took 14 shots to TLU's nine.
