The Patriot Club is the booster organization for The University of Texas at Tyler athletics program. Membership consists of individuals, organizations and businesses that are willing to make a financial commitment to the future of UT Tyler’s Patriot Athletics program.
Why is the Patriot Club necessary? The State of Texas does not provide direct support for intercollegiate athletics programs. Institutions, such as UT Tyler, must rely on student athletics fees, gate receipts, advertising revenues and private contributions to help fund athletic programs.
How are funds donated to the Patriot Club used? Funds donated to the Patriot Club are used to support such activities as recruiting, travel, promotions and student-athlete recognition awards.
How can I help UT Tyler’s student- athletes and its Athletics program? Contributions to the Athletics program may be given in the following ways. Gifts of cash provide immediate help to the athletics program. Contributions may be given in any amount and may be made in installments, by credit card, check or cash.
Gifts in Kind can greatly reduce operating costs. A few examples of goods or services that might be donated are the use of automobiles, hotel rooms, printing and meals.
Many companies offer Matching Gifts and you receive credit for both your gift and your employer’s matching gift. Check with your employer to see about a gift matching program. |
