The University of Texas at Tyler soccer teams didn’t allow a single goal over the weekend as both the men’s and women’s teams shutout American Southwest Conference opponents Concordia and Mary Hardin-Baylor in a weekend road trip through Central Texas. Women The Patriots women (6-5, 6-3 ASC) picked up goals from Jenna Lyle and Tricia Slate in a 2-0 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday in Belton. Tiffany Cooksey assisted on Slate’s goal. Lindsey Henrie made four key saves ion goal to hold the Crusaders scoreless. Overall, UT Tyler out-shot UMHB, 10-8. With the win, the Patriots improve to 6-3 in conference play. Men Derek Meller scored in the 79th minute after assisting Adam McAlpine on an earlier goal to lead the Patriots men to a 3-0 win. UT Tyler is now 10-2 on the season and 7-2 in the ASC. Taylor Robbins scored an unassisted goal in the 28th minute to open the scoring for UT Tyler. Robbins finished the game with two shots-on-goal and one assist. Geoff Sherman played all 90-minutes in goal for the Patriots. On Friday, both UT Tyler teams beat Concordia in Austin by identical
