Men’s, Women’s Tennis Nationally Ranked

Both UT Tyler tennis teams are nationally ranked according to the latest ITA Division III National Team Rankings released today.

The Patriots men are ranked No. 23 in the nation after winning all four of their matches last week. UT Tyler is 13-5 on the season and 3-0 in the American Southwest Conference.

Hardin-Simmons, in the 29th spot, is the only other ASC men’s team making a showing.

The UT Tyler women make their first-ever appearance in the national poll, breaking in at the No. 30 spot. The Patriots are the only ASC school to earn a spot in the most recent poll.

The women are 13-2 overall and 3-0 in the ASC.

Both teams may have their toughest competition of the season coming up on Saturday. UT Tyler hosts Trinity (TX) – the No. 3 ranked men’s team and the 18th ranked women’s squad – in a non-conference match-up at the Summers Tennis Center.

The match will begin at 9 a.m.
