Women’s Tennis’ Ude Earns 2nd Straight ASC Honor

RICHARDSON, Texas – Junior Brittany Ude of The University of Texas at Tyler women’s tennis team was named American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week for the second consecutive time on Wednesday.

The Corpus Christi native went 1-1 in both singles and doubles last week and earned match point for UT Tyler in last Wednesday’s dramatic 5-4 win over Trinity (Conn.).

Ude is now 11-3 in singles play and 9-6 in doubles in dual matches this season.

On Sunday, the Patriots will host Mississippi College in a pivotal American Southwest Conference match at the Summers Tennis Center with both teams currently 3-0 in the East Division of the American Southwest Conference. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
