Women's Volleyball Volleyball Splits First Day of Austin Tournmament The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team split their two matches in the first day of the 2007 Austin College Tournament. In the first match of the day, a non-conference against Hardin Simmons, the Patriots fell, 30-20, 30-26, 30-25. Volleyball Ends Tough Road Trip, 0-4 The UT Tyler women's volleyball team had a rough weekend trip in central Texas, going 0-3 at the American Southwest Conference Crossover tournament in Austin, and dropping a road match at Mary Hardin-Baylor. On Thursday, the Patriots fell to UMHB, 3-1, despite holding nearly even with the Cru on attack percentage - 16-percent to 17-percent for UMHB. More>>>
Patriots Fall to ETBU UT Tyler dropped an American Southwest Conference volleyball match to East Texas Baptist, 3-0, Friday night at the Herrington Patriot Center, but the Patriots made the Lady Tigers work for the win. ETBU (16-6, 9-1) dominated the fist game, winning 30-16. UT Tyler (6-13, 2-9) began to adjust in the second game, matching ETBU kill-for-kill with 13 for each team. Schofield Paces Patriots Past LeTourneau Senior Linsey Schofield exploded for a triple-double in a career-highlighting performance Tuesday night to lead The University of Texas at Tyler to a 3-2 win over LeTourneau in American Southwest Conference volleyball. Schofield's 11 kills, 14 digs, and 32 assists came at just the right time as LeTourneau threatened to stop the Patriots from picking up their first home victory of the season. More>>>
Volleyball Struggles at ASC Crossover RICHARDSON - The UT Tyler volleyball team beat Howard Payne, 3-0, at the American Southwest Conference Crossover Tournament in Richardson Saturday, but the Patriots dropped their other three matches of the weekend to end the tournament with a 1-3 record. The Patriots (5-11, 1-7) opened Friday with a 3-0 loss to Schreiner. Statistically, UT Tyler had 31 kills to Schreiner’s 35, but the Patriots’ attack percentage of .126 was well below Schreiner’s .325. Shedryl Tyler and Kelsey Walsh both had seven kills each to lead UT Tyler. More>>>

Volleyball Goes 0-2 to Start Season RICHARDSON - The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team dropped its first two matches of the season Saturday, falling to Wisconsin-Superior and Southwestern at the UT Dallas Gilbert Memorial Volleyball Tournament in Richardson.
