The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team swept Mary Hardin-Baylor, 25-23, 25-19, 25-17, on Saturday at the Herrington Patriot Center. The win gave the Patriots their first-ever season sweep of the Lady Cru. The win also allowed the Patriots to hang on to the coveted third-place position in the American Southwest Conference East Division standings. Volleyball to “Dig For a Cure” on Oct. 25 The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team will “Dig for a Cure” during their Oct. 25 match at home against Mary Hardin-Baylor. Between now and Oct. 25, members of the UT Tyler volleyball team will be collecting pledges for the number of digs made during the match. All pledges and donations will go directly to the Susan G. Volleyball Snaps Three Game Skid With ASC First Win After two unsuccessful attempts, The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team (7-5, 1-2 ASC) finally got its first American Southwest Conference win of the season on Saturday at the Herrington Patriot Center. The Patriots took down Mississippi College (7-5, 1-3 ASC) three sets to one, 23-25, 30-28, 25-16, 25-12. UTD Gets Better Of Volleyball in ASC Opener The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team (6-4, 0-1 ASC) opened up the American Southwest Conference portion of its schedule against East Division rival UT Dallas (8-3, 1-0 ASC) on Tuesday night at the Herrington Patriot Center. However, the match was not the sort of ASC debut the Patriots had hoped for as the Comets swept UT Tyler, 25-21, 25-18, 25-15, in three straight games.
