Women's Volleyball Rathbun Named Volleyball Coach at UT Tyler The University of Texas at Tyler has named Joanna Rathbun as the University’s new head women’s volleyball coach. Rathbun comes to UT Tyler after serving as the head coach at the Fairhill School in Dallas since 2007. From 2001-2007, Rathbun was the head coach at Dallas Christian College where she started the volleyball program. Under Rathbun, DCC won the 2007 National Christian College Athletic Association Southwest Conference Championship and she was selected as the league’s coach of the year. More>>>
Phelps Resigns As Volleyball Coach The University of Texas at Tyler head volleyball coach Kristee Phelps has announced her resignation effective Friday, Nov. 13. Phelps, the longest-serving volleyball coach in program history, leaves UT Tyler to become the faculty and staff wellness coordinator at the University of Texas at San Antonio. More>>>

Volleyball Splits Final Day of Classic; Phelps Gets 100th Win The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team went 1-1 on the final day of the 2009 UT Tyler/Trinity Mother Frances Classic on Saturday at the Herrington Patriot Center. The Patriots dropped their first match of the day, 25-20, 25-17, 25-16, to Southwestern Assemblies, but picked up a hard-fought, 25-23, 20-25, 25-16, 25-19, win over Mid-America Christian in the final game of the classic. UT Tyler’s win over Mid-America marked the 100th career victory for head coach Kristee Phelps. Phelps is in her ninth year as a collegiate head coach and fifth at UT Tyler. More>>>
