Volleyball Comes Up Big Against LeTourneau

LONGVIEW, Texas - The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team ended a four match skid by sweeping LeTourneau, 3-0, on Tuesday night in Longview.

Volleyball to “Dig For a Cure” on Oct. 25
October 14, 2008

The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team will “Dig for a Cure” during their Oct. 25 match at home against Mary Hardin-Baylor. 

Between now and Oct. 25, members of the UT Tyler volleyball team will be collecting pledges for the number of digs made during the match.  All pledges and donations will go directly to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation.  The Komen Foundation helps raise awareness for and fund research in the fight against breast cancer. More>>>

CLINTON, Miss. - Mississippi College (12-9, 5-7 ASC) rallied from two sets down to beat The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team (8-10, 2-5 ASC), 3-2, on Thursday night in Clinton.

The Patriots took the first two sets by narrow margins, 25-23 and 25-22. However the Choctaws would rally and take the next two sets, 25-14 and 25-19, to force a decisive fifth set. More>>>

SEGUIN, Texas - The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team (8-8, 2-4 ASC) split their final two games of the first American Southwest Conference crossover of the season on Saturday at Texas Lutheran.

The Patriots took down Concordia, 3-2, in a five-set thriller during the day’s first match. However UT Tyler would not fare as well in the final match of the day, as host TLU stayed unbeaten in the ASC with a 3-0 win over the Patriots. More>>>

Volleyball Snaps Three Game Skid With ASC First Win

After two unsuccessful attempts, The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team (7-5, 1-2 ASC) finally got its first American Southwest Conference win of the season on Saturday at the Herrington Patriot Center. The Patriots took down Mississippi College (7-5, 1-3 ASC) three sets to one, 23-25, 30-28, 25-16, 25-12.

The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team (6-4, 0-1 ASC) opened up the American Southwest Conference portion of its schedule against East Division rival UT Dallas (8-3, 1-0 ASC) on Tuesday night at the Herrington Patriot Center.

However, the match was not the sort of ASC debut the Patriots had hoped for as the Comets swept UT Tyler, 25-21, 25-18, 25-15, in three straight games. UT Dallas’ win marked the seventh victory in the 10-match series for the Comets. More>>>
