Volleball Splits First Day of Austin Tournament

The University of Texas at Tyler volleyball team split their two matches in the first day of the 2007 Austin College Tournament.
In the first match of the day, a non-conference against Hardin Simmons, the Patriots fell, 30-20, 30-26, 30-25.
However in the second game, the Patriots persevered and were able to bounce back and take down Paul Quinn, 30-10, 30-17, 30-16.
The Patriots now stand at 7-19 on the season and remain at 2-14 in ASC play.
Today, UT Tyler will continue play in the Austin Tournament when the take on the host 13th-ranked 'Roos at Noon and will close out their trip when they meet Concordia - Texas at 4 PM.
