Stanley Named ASC Player Of The Week

Senior Sarah Stanley was honored for her strong start to the season with the American Southwest Conference's East Division Player of the Week award.

Stanley (SR/Rockwall, TX) began the season with 18 points and six assists in a win over Jarvis Christian, then scored 30 points on 12-for-14 shooting in a conference victory against Texas Lutheran. She was 3-for-3 from the free throw line, and also from three-point range, and also added five steals, three assists and two blocks in just 19 minutes against the Bulldogs.

Stanley was last season's Player of the Year in the ASC East Division, and was picked as Preseason Player of the Year in a poll of coaches, SIDs, and media.

This is the fifth POW honor for Stanley, including three awards last season.
