Two Games In, Women's Soccer All Tied Up

The UT Tyler women's soccer team played American Southwest Conference rival UT Dallas to a 0-0 tie Sunday afternoon, marking the Patriots' second straight tie.

UT Tyler tied Ozarks 1-1 on Friday to open ASC play, so two games into conference action, the Patriots are still winless...and undefeated.

The Patriots controlled the ball most of the game, attempting 12 total shots and five shots on goal. Jorden Reed, Jessica Pierce, Alina Kilkenny, Summer Werner, and Brenda Salinas all had attempts at UTD keeper Andrea Jones but none of them were able to reach the back of the net.

UTD got off just two shots on goal, out of 11 total shots, but both were stopped for the Patriots by Sam Fraser who spent all 110-minutes in goal.

The tie evens UT Tyler's record at 2-2-2 overall and 0-0-2 in the ASC. UT Dallas is 2-3-2 and 1-0-1.

The Patriots host Louisiana College at 6 p.m. Thursday.
