Women's Soccer Rolls Schreiner

The University of Texas at Tyler women’s soccer team cruised past Schreiner 10-0, on Saturday at the Citizens 1st Bank – Perkins Soccer Complex. The Patriots have now won five games in a row and have out scored their opponents 25-2 during the stretch.
UT Tyler (9-2-1, 5-3 ASC) dominated every aspect of the game, out shooting the Mountaineers 51-1 (0-10, 0-6 ASC) over 90 minutes. Of the Patriots’ 51 shots, 28 of them were on goal.
Eight different UT Tyler players scored during the match, including sophomore Kasey Kemp (Keller, Texas) who turned in the first hat trick performance of her career. Kemp scored the first three goals of the afternoon in a span of under 10 minutes.
Senior Sonya Gomez (Tyler, Texas) had two assists on the day, while sophomore Lauren Thomas (College Station, Texas) and junior Stephanie Masci (Houston, Texas) each had a goal and an assist in the game.
Senior Kelly Buchanan (Houston, Texas), freshman Emily Bechdol (Cedar Hill, Texas) and sophomores Katelyn Albert (N. Richland Hills, Texas), Leah Malone (Lewisville, Texas) and Chelsea Fiscus (Keller, Texas) each had a goal of their own in the game.
Senior Jessica Pierce (Plano, Texas), junior Amanda Thomas (Grapevine, Texas) and sophomore Leah Solomon (Schertz, Texas) added one assist each to the cause.
The Patriots will now travel to Marshall, Texas on Oct. 17, to take on East Texas Baptist at 6 p.m.
