Fraser Nets ASC Women’s Soccer Honors

RICHARDSON, Texas – Junior Sam Fraser of The University of Texas at Tyler was named Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week by the American Southwest Conference on Tuesday.

Fraser posted two shutouts, as the Patriots opened the season with wins over Oklahoma Christian and Oklahoma City over the holiday weekend.

Fraser played the full 90 minutes of both games and recorded eight saves while facing 14 shots.

Fraser and her teammates will play at the Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex for the first time this season on Friday evening at 7 p.m., when they take on No. 23 Trinity (Tex.). The game will be sponsored by Coca-Cola.
