Daily Earns ASC Women’s Soccer Honors

RICHARDSON, Texas – Junior Lauren Daily of The University of Texas at Tyler women’s soccer team was named as the Offensive Player of the Week by the American Southwest Conference for games played during October 8-10, the league announced on Monday.

Daily scored two of UT Tyler’s three goals during its lone contest of the week, a 3-0 win at Schreiner.

Daily recorded her first goal just 25 seconds into the match to set a new ASC record for fastest goal. The Coppell native broke the previous record by four seconds which was set by Texas-Dallas’ Stephanie Ross during the 2005 season.

Daily and teammates will continue ASC action on Thursday when they host East Texas Baptist at the Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex at 6 p.m.
