Business Affairs

Ms. Kay Smith is Senior Administrative Assistant in the Office of Business Affairs. Ms. Smith was born and reared in Whitehouse, Texas. Ms. Smith graduated from Whitehouse High School and attended Tyler Junior College, where she majored in Business Administration.

Ms. Smith began her career at The University of Texas at Tyler in 1979 as a Clerk in Human Resources. In February 1984, she was promoted to Payroll Services Specialist.  On December 1, 1997, Ms. Smith accepted the position of Administrative Secretary in the Office of Business Affairs. Ms. Smith provides administrative support services to the Vice President and the Assistant Vice President for Business Affairs.

Away from the office, Ms. Smith is actively involved in various church functions and family activities.
