Master of Business Administration Online (MBAO)

The Master of Business Administration Online (MBAO) degree is offered in cooperation with other members of the University of Texas System and is a stand-alone program. It should not be confused with hybrid or online offerings that are offered by UT Tyler in conjunction with the MBA program that is specific to the UT Tyler campus.

The MBAO is a general management program delivered via distance education technologies. The UT TeleCampus, a virtual campus dedicated to distance learning support services, facilitates the design and delivery of the asynchronous collaborative degree program.

A consortium of Colleges of Business Administration at the following institutions participate in the MBA Online program:

The University of Texas at Arlington

The University of Texas at Brownsville

The University of Texas at Dallas

The University of Texas at El Paso

The University of Texas - Pan American

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin

The University of Texas at San Antonio

The University of Texas at Tyler

All members of the consortium are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to offer an MBA degree and with the exception of UT Brownsville, all consortium members are accredited by the AACSB.

All participating institutions have authority from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to offer an MBA degree and to accept the courses included in the MBA Online degree plan.
