Admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration Programs
The School of Business Administration (BA) accepts transfer and freshmen students who are admitted to UT Tyler. Students will be officially admitted to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) when they have satisfactorily completed their Core Curriculum and the Business Administration Field of Study requirements. The freshman and transfer student requirements for admission to the BBA program are outlined below:
A. Be officially admitted to the University.
B. Meet admission requirements of the School of Business Administration as shown in "C" below.
C. Provide transcripts to show successful completion of the following prerequisites with a minimum grade of "C" in each course:

D. File degree plan in the School of Business Adminstration by the end of the first semester after being admitted to the School of Business Adminsitration. The academic advisor can facilitate this step.
* Computer applications adapted to the solution of business problems (equivalent to COSC 1307).
** Content to be at the level of calculus or above and include exponents and radicals, linear systems, matrices, linear algebra, exponential functions, logarithmic functions, probablity, differential and integral calculus.
*** Public speaking with an emphasis on the preparation and presentation of professional speeches, using computer technology when appropriate.
Freshman Admission
Freshman should designate the BBA as the intended degree. The majors for the BBA are:
- Accounting
- Finanace
- Management
- Marketing
Transfer of Credit
Only grades "C" and above may apply towards degree requirements. The School of Business Administration offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with majors in accounting, finance, management, and marketing.
Minor in Business Administration
A minor in business administration is available to students whose major field is outside the College of Business and Technology. The student must complete 18 upper-division semester hours of business administration courses as outlined below and must meet any prerequisites listed:
