What is new at the College?

The University of Texas at Tyler College of Business Administration achieved, in 1998, the accreditation of its bachelor's and master's degree programs from the Board of Directors of AACSB.

The accreditation included the bachelor of business administration (B.B.A.) degrees in accounting, finance, management and marketing and the master of business administration (M.B.A.) degree.

Achieving accreditation means the Department of Business Administration meets a wide range of quality standards relating to curriculum, faculty resources, admissions, degree requirement, library and computer facilities, financial resources, and intellectual climate.  It also signifies that the degree program satisfies criteria established and accepted by the management education community.

AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business is a not-for-profit corporation of educational institutions, corporations and other organizations devoted to the promotion and improvement of higher education in business administration and management.

AACSB International also is the professional organization for management education. In addition to its accreditation function, the organization conducts an extensive array of development programs for faculty and administrators; engages in research and survey projects on topics specific to the field of management education; maintains relationships with disciplinary associations and other groups; interacts with the corporate community on a variety of projects and initiatives; and produces a wide variety of publications and special reports on trends and issues within management education. AACSB International also maintains close relationships with its counterpart associations worldwide.
