, Associate Professor in Technology. Dr. Gilbreath received his BS degree from Sul Ross State University. He taught drafting in the El Paso, Texas public schools from 1964 to 1968. He was an NDEA fellow at Texas A&M University from 1968-71 where he received his masters and doctorate.

- Mark Miller
, Professor in Technology. Dr. Miller earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Education at Texas A&M University in 1993 while teaching as a full time lecturer in the Manufacturing Engineering Technology Department. He earned a M.A.E. in Industrial Education at Ball State University in 1983 and a B.S. degree in Industrial Arts Education at the State University of New York, College at Buffalo in 1982. Dr. Miller has almost 20 years of teaching experience in higher education and 6 years teaching experience at the secondary level. Prior to his appointment at UT Tyler, he was the chairman of the Industrial Technology Department at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. While chair, he tripled the department’s enrollment and established their first graduate program. Dr. Miller also reactivated the department’s honor society after 45 years of inactivity.Over the years, Dr. Miller has written or revised more than 20 textbooks in the field of technology. He has also published a number of refereed articles and made numerous presentations at various national conferences. Dr. Miller has also obtained over a half million dollars in new equipment and software grants. Dr. Miller serves on the National Association of Industrial Technology Board of Certification where he recently developed a study guide for the organization’s certification exam. He also serves on the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Student Relations Subcommittee. Dr. Miller serves as an academic advisor for the department’s Industrial Technology graduate and undergraduate program options.
