General Baccalaureate Degree Requirements

• 6 hours in English Composition: and/or grammar
• 3 hours in World or European Literature
• 3 hours in Humanities (literature, philosophy, history)
• 3 hours in Social Sciences (economics, anthropology, criminal justice, geography, speech, journalism, political science, sociology)
• 3 hours in Fine and Performing Arts (lecture type course). (Appreciation or history of art, theater, music, film)
• 6 hours in US History
• 6 hours in Government: US (3 hours) and Texas (3 hours)
• 6 - 8 hours in Science with Laboratory
• 6 hours in Math (college algebra or above)

College of Business and Technology Requirements (lower level)

• 6 - 8 hours in Principles of Accounting (Financial/Managerial)
• 6 hours in Principles of Economics (Macro/Micro)
• 3 hours in Mathematical Analysis or equivalent (MATH 1325)
• 3 hours in Computer Applications/Spreadsheets (COSC 1307)
• 3 hours in Speech (SPCM 1315)
