Biography

Kathryn Kapka obtained a BBA and a MBA from The University of Texas at Tyler. She joined the business faculty with over 25 years of accounting and auditing experience, most recently serving as Chief Audit Executive/Director of Audit Services at The University. Kathryn has served on the board of directors of the East Texas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) in several positions, including the 2009-2010 President. She is currently serving on the TSCPA Board of Directors, the TSCPA Ethics Committee and is the 2010-2012 Chair of the TSCPA Professional Standards Committee. Kathryn’s areas of instruction and continuing education include financial accounting, professional standards, auditing, forensic accounting and internal auditing
