Coordinated MSN-MBA (Nursing, Business Administration) Degree
About the MSN-MBA Program
This coordinated master of science in nursing and master of business administration (MSN-MBA) degree option will prepare the nurse executive to ensure excellence in client care services, and also to impact the business environment in which nurses practice. This degree option incorporates content in management, economics, finance and marketing into a framework for nursing service and health care administration. Complete this valuable dual degree with only 55-58 credit hours instead of the 73-76 hours required if the MBA and MSN programs were taken separately.
General Graduate Admission Requirements
- Apply Online.
- Pay the application fee.
- Submit official transcripts to the Office of Graduate Admissions and unofficial transcripts to the CBT Graduate Advising Office.
- Submit official GMAT scores to the Office of Graduate Admissions and unofficial scores may be sent to the CBT Graduate Advising Office.
- There are additional requirements for international students such as a detailed international
transcript evaluation which determines an applicant's degree comparability to a US bachelor's degree (UT Tyler does NOT evaluate international transcripts).
MSN-MBA Additional Admission Requirements
In addition to the general graduate admission requirements of The University of Texas at Tyler, students applying for admission to the MSN-MBA coordinated degree option must meet the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the College of Business and Technology requirements listed in the catalog under the College of Nursing, the coordinated master of science in nursing and master of business administration.
