The University of Texas at Tyler Department of Human Resource Development and Technology provides solid preparation for successful careers in business, industry, education and government through outstanding programs in:

  • Human Resource Development -- UT Tyler BS in human resource development and MS in human resource development programs prepare students to make vital contributions to corporate success through the process of developing employee expertise and creating a satisfying, productive work environment.

    The university also offers the PhD in human resource development with a unique focus on organizational development and change, integrating a strategic management perspective.

  • Industrial Technology and Management -- Students the UT Tyler BS in industrial technology program learn to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills to support industrial engineers and managers. Graduates are prepared for a wide variety of management-oriented technical positions such as: plant manager, quality assurance manager, industrial engineer and manufacturing engineer.

    The MS in industrial management degree program at UT Tyler prepares students for leadership roles in industrial, processing and construction industries as well as in business, government and education.

  • Surveying and Mapping -- The UT Tyler BS in technology degree with a concentration in surveying and mapping equips students for career success in specialized positions such as: surveyor, CADD mapping specialist, legal boundary law specialist, surveying and mapping company owner and licensed professional land surveyor.

  • Applied Arts and Sciences -- UT Tyler's bachelor of applied arts and sciences is a transfer degree completion program preparing students to thrive in managerial careers in the technical fields. The program offers a seamless transition from a community college associate of applied arts and sciences degree to a UT Tyler bachelor's degree.
