Narrative Biography:
Dr. Isaura Flores is currently the Hispanic & Latin American Research program and Hispanic Business Center Associate Director for UTTyler. Dr. Flores is also serving as director for the New Venture Tyler competition. She is currently holding a leadership position in the East Texas Area serving in several boards such as United Way, YMCA and served as a board member at Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Flores won the "Women who inspire" award (March 2005) due to her outstanding involvement in our commnity. Prior joining UTTyler, Isaura worked as a CMO at Miracle TV corporation in Houston Texas. She designed and successfully implemented the company strategy: business plans, marketing plans and country launching programs for the MSO’s and Hospitality industry. During 2000, she was the Marketing Director in International eCommerce, Inc. She developed and implemented the Marketing Strategy for the company for the US Hispanic market as well for the Latin American markets; in addition to that, she designed the communications strategy and the sales procedures. From 1995 to 1997, Isaura was a full time marketing professor and consultant for ITESM in Monterrey Mexico where she gained experience in several industries and university interchange programs. During 1992, Isaura founded Beverly Hills in Monterrey, a cosmetic private label distribution company in Mexico developing a 250 people sales force and eventually sold it to Tupperware Corp. in 1994. She has an extensive experience in Marketing, Sales and Marketing research related to the final customer. Isaura has a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, a Master degree in Business Administration and a PhD in Management.
