Teaching and Research Interests
Dr. Napier’s teaching interests include Operations Management and Decision Sciences. He has also taught courses in Health Care Management, Project Management, and Business Statistics at the graduate and undergraduate levels. His research interests are centered on the use of quantitative methods to understand and improve business processes.
Dr. Napier brings over 25 years of experience in management and consulting to his teaching and research activities. Before joining the faculty at UT Tyler, he taught at The University of Texas at Arlington and Dallas Baptist University. He is qualified as a Certified Public Accountant, and has earned the Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management (CFPIM) designation from APICS, the Association for Operations Management. A former President of the APICS-Greater Fort Worth chapter, Dr. Napier speaks and writes frequently on emerging trends in technology and operations management.
