Teaching and Research Interests
Dr. Jones teaches in Retailing and International Marketing. He conducts research related to shopper marketing and shopper value. He also examines the impact of the relationships of brands with retailers and consumers. He has published in Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services and the Journal of Marketing at Retail.
Dr. Jones joined the faculty at UT Tyler at the start of the Fall 2012 semester. Prior to joining the UT Tyler faculty he was a senior retail executive and consultant. His executive career included merchandising, planning, brand and product development, for television retailers, department and specialty stores. He has consulted on product and brand development for traditional and on-line retailers, educational products and institutions. He is a member of the American Marketing Association, the American Collegiate Retailing Association, and the Category Management Association Educational Advisory Council.
