The University of Texas at Tyler Department of Technology offers undergraduate and graduate programs in industrial technology and industrial management, preparing students for a wide variety of management-oriented technical occupations. Programs are accredited by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).
Students in the bachelor of science in industrial technology program learn to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills to support industrial engineers and managers. Graduates are prepared for technical positions such as: plant manager, quality assurance manager, industrial engineer and manufacturing engineer.
UT Tyler also offers the bachelor of science in technology degree with surveying & mapping emphasis. Graduates of the program are prepared for career success in specialized positions such as: surveyor, CADD mapping specialist, legal boundary law specialist, surveying and mapping company owner and licensed professional land surveyor.
The master of science in industrial management degree program prepares students for leadership roles in industrial, processing and construction industries as well as in business, government and education.
