About the Compliance Office...

Mission Statement:  To build compliance consciousness into the environment at the University of Texas at Tyler and to encourage all employees to conduct University business with the highest standards of honesty and integrity.

U. T. Tyler’s Compliance Office is responsible for compiling Quarterly Reports to  U. T. System; performing departmental inspections (Quality Assurance Reviews); performing monitoring plan inspections; maintaining the Institutional Compliance Manual and the Compliance and Monitoring Plan Manual; collecting annual Control Self Assessments; maintaining the Compliance Database; maintaining the Compliance website; and coordinating Compliance training.

The Director of Compliance is Mary Barr. The director serves as a contact for the Ethics Line, attends U. T. System-wide Compliance Officers’ meetings, provides an annual action plan to UT System for enhancement of the Compliance program, coordinates the Institutional Executive Compliance Committee meeting agendas, and the Compliance Working Group meeting packets. The Director of Compliance reports to the Vice President for Business Affairs and Institutional Compliance Officer, Mr. Gregg Lassen.
