Laboratory & Technical Capabilities

The Center for Social Science Research maintains laboratory facility for archaeological and environmental purposes. The Center maintains equipment for laboratory and fieldwork to fulfill cultural resource needs as well as specialty equipment including a NextEngine 3D scanner, a Bruker Tracer portable X-Ray Florescence device, a CST/Berger Total Data Station, and a Trimble 7 Global Positioning System. The Center has robust software capabilities including ArcGIS, Scan Studio, and SPSS to meet the educational, research, and technical needs of the community. Additionally, the Center for Social Science Research personnel frequently work with colleagues to offer services such as Ground Penetrating Radar Geographic Information Systems Analysis, Survey Development, and Oral Histories.
