Mission

The mission of the Instructional Design (ID) team at The University of Texas at Tyler is to support student academic success and faculty development. Enhancing learning experiences for faculty and students starts with a discussion about teaching and learning. The ID team strives to lead initiatives in exploring course design, learning objectives, assessment and content delivery to establish the best learning environment for The University of Texas at Tyler students.

Vision

The vision of the Instructional Design team is to ignite innovative and inspiring learning experiences in face-to-face, hybrid and online courses through highly collaborative working relationships with The University of Texas at Tyler faculty.

The Instructional Design team is waiting to hear from you! Book time to begin a collaborative consultation on course design, pedagogy and technology to create and deliver an effective face-to-face, hybrid and/or online course.

As you prepare for your consultation, consider the overall purpose of your course. In other words: in one, five or 10 years after a student participates in your course, what should they be able to do or remember? Collaborating with the Department of Academic Transformation will help you realize your course goals and ensure objectives, assessments, content and technologies are aligned and appropriate for an effective learning environment. Let's make it happen!
