Biography

Mr. Jason DiStefano is a lecturer for the Department.  He received his B.S. in Chemistry and M.B.A. from UT Tyler.  Passionate about teaching, Jason serves as a Teaching Associate sharing his love of chemistry with students.  Working alongside Environmental Health and Safety, he supports the Department as Laboratory Safety Coordinator and Departmental Safety Liaison.  Recently, Jason began serving as an assistant to the Faculty  Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP) Director by recruiting and assisting students throughout the program.  Jason’s commitment to the Department won him the Regents Outstanding Employee Award (ROEA) in 2018.  This is the one and only time the award has been given.  Jason met his wife Robyn at UT Tyler and they have two sons Cooper and Cullen.
