Biography
Dr. Venugopal Gopalakrishna-Remani's primary research interests lie in healthcare
operations, green supply chains, social sustainability, and the effect of sustainable
supply chain operations on firm performance. Dr. Venugopal has published in prestigious
journals like Scientific Reports-Nature, Information System Frontiers, Organization
and Environment, Information and Management, International Journal of Production Economics,
etc.
Based on recommendations by students, he received the 'Outstanding Faculty Award' of Soules College of Business by Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, 2016,
and EMBA Most Innovative Educator Award, 2020. He believes in continuous improvement and regularly attends teaching workshops
conducted by the University of Texas at Tyler and various national and regional conferences.
He also performs theater acting, stand-up comedian and has been an avid Taekwondo
and yoga practitioner for the past several years and has won several teaching, research,
and service recognitions, including UT Tyler Research Fellow, 2020; UT Tyler Presidential Excellence In Service Award,
2020; UT Tyler White Fellowship For Excellence In Teaching Award, 2021; Soules College
of Business and Technology AP Teaching Award 2020. He also served as Data Analytic
Faculty Fellow (2014-2016) and earned ACUE Teaching Fellow 2021. He also served as UT Tyler Research Consultant 2020-2021.
