Daniel joined the UT Tyler Advancement staff in October 2016, serving as the Director of Planned Giving and also as Development Officer for the College of Engineering.
A native of Tyler, Daniel returned to East Texas in 2001 and for 15 years did major gift development for Baylor University and later for Buckner Children and Family Services. He served as Director of Development for the George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor from 2005-2007. With Buckner since 2007, he helped raise over $7 million for ministry expansion in Longview. From 1993-2000, he worked as a sales representative with Dell Computer in Round Rock, TX serving higher education institutions in the Northeast U.S, and also as Minister of Music at Travis Oaks Baptist Church in Lago Vista, TX, northwest of Austin.
Daniel received his BA in Business Administration from Baylor in 1990, and also holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation from the American College. He enjoys building relationships with donors in the area of gift planning to help facilitate their charitable goals for UT Tyler, for themselves, and for their families. Daniel, his wife Michele, and their three children reside in Bullard and are members at Tyler Orthodox Presbyterian Church where Daniel has served as an elder since 2010.
