Disability Support Services
The Mission of Disability Support Services (DSS) is to provide students equal access to all educational, social and recreational programs through the coordination of services and reasonable accommodations, consultation, and advocacy. DSS strives to provide services that will encourage students to become as independent and self-reliant as possible.
Disability Support Services is part of the Student Services Office located in the University Center, Room 282. The Student Services Office contains specialized computer equipment for use by students with disabilities. Some of the equipment includes: Dragon Dictate Voice to input system (for voice activated word processing), large screen computers, speech synthesizer, screen reading software, and scanning devices, Kurzweil 3000 Scan/Read software for persons with learning disabilities, and Braille printing equipment.
